Good Rockin’ Tonight
Live At The Palomino, North Hollywood, CA, 1994
In 1990, The Palomino Club in North Hollywood was one of the best places to play. Outside of trendy Hollywood and without pretension, the old cowboy club famous for being Clint Eastwood’s hangout in the “Every Which Way But Loose” movie, was the place to be.
Indeed, Dread Zep had three momentous meetings there that would later shape their career: Screaming Jay Hawkins, David Crosby and Robert Plant’s photographer, Ross Halfin, who took t-shirts and records to Robert (who really liked ‘em!).
Trivia: Elvis’ old Sun recording mixed with “Rock And Roll” by Led Zep. Carl plays the Led Zeppelin solo whilst Jah Paul Jo lifts one from Roy Wood’s Wizzard (why not?).
